New Report Explains How to Turn One Idea Into Multiple Products

January 18, 2008 By Logical Expressions Staff

Press Release: Turn One Idea Into Multiple Products

New Report Explains How to Turn One Idea into Multiple Products

“The Nine Lives of Content: How to Turn Just One Idea Into Multiple Products That Promote Your Expertise” Offers Ways for Business Owners to Position Themselves as Experts

SANDPOINT, Idaho — A new report from Logical Expressions helps business owners get away from the “Wal-Mart mentality” and position themselves as experts. The report called “The Nine Lives of Content: How to Turn Just One Idea Into Multiple Products That Promote Your Expertise” is available from www.Publishize.com.

Book author and publishing expert Susan Daffron of Logical Expressions, Inc. wrote the report after repeatedly hearing clients complain about how they “can’t compete on price.” She points out that small business owners should take price out of the equation by positioning themselves as experts. She says, “People want to hire experts. After all, you wouldn’t hire a plumber to run your electricity would you?”

The report advises business owners to write about what they do as a compelling way to demonstrate their expertise. Although the prospect of writing may be daunting for those who don’t consider themselves professional writers, the report says the key is to reuse everything, whether it’s a presentation, training class, or even a short article. Readers are given one real example of “content recycling” in action, along with a fictional example. The report includes information on how just one article can easily be transformed into:

1. An online email course that is offered from the business owner’s Web site, so potential customers can learn online at their convenience.

2. A “client magnet” that gets information in front of the right customers and increases visitors to the business Web site.

3. A book that instantly increases the author’s credibility. Daffron has turned many of her articles into 7 books (with more to come).

4. Six more ideas, along with a subscription to the Publishize newsletter, which offers weekly advice and ideas for creating information products, such as books and Web sites.

“The Nine Lives of Content: How to Turn Just One Idea Into Multiple Products That Promote Your Expertise” is available free from: www.Publishize.com or the Logical Expressions company Web site at: www.logicalexpressions.com

Susan Daffron Offers Strategies for Overcoming Writer’s Block

January 13, 2008 By Logical Expressions Staff

Press Release: Strategies for Overcoming Writer’s Block

Meet Your Deadlines: Strategies for Overcoming Writer’s Block for Time-Strapped Writers

Author of Nine Books Offers Tips

SANDPOINT, Idaho — People who earn a living from their writing literally can’t afford to have a case of writer’s block. Book author and publishing expert Susan Daffron of Logical Expressions, Inc. was involved in the design of the company’s IdeaWeaver writing and creativity software and offers these suggestions to writers based on her white paper “Get Unstuck! 15 Ways to Jumpstart Your Creativity, Get Organized, and Finish Your Writing Project,” which comes with the 30-day trial version of IdeaWeaver.

1. Try free writing. Free writing is the practice of simply sitting down and writing something — anything at all — for a specific period of time. For example, set a timer for 10 minutes. Now write without stopping for the entire 10 minutes without any interruption.

2. Use the storyteller approach. Many newspaper or magazine articles start with a personal anecdote or story about someone and then move into a more general discussion of the subject. To use the same trick, take a topic and spin a yarn about it.

3. Put yourself in someone else’s shoes. Ask questions as if you were the reader of the document. In acting parlance, you are “role playing.” Imagine the reader and all her likes and dislikes. Then write down all her questions and answer them.

The dreaded blank page can be intimidating, but it doesn’t have to be an insurmountable problem. Writers who need to see results right away can use these tips to jump-start their creativity and meet tight deadlines.  Daffron points out that like anything else, writing gets easier with practice. For professional writers, increased output not only results in increased income, it can decrease episodes of writer’s block as well.

“IdeaWeaver” is free to try for 30 days. A license costs $49.95. The free trial download of the software is available at: www.IdeaWeaverSoftware.com. The site features a free “getting started” video, case studies, and a free e-mail white paper called “Get Unstuck! 15 Ways to Jumpstart Your Creativity, Get Organized, and Finish Your Writing Project.”

Pet Care Book Author Says Complete Cleaning is No Accident:

Press Release: Complete Cleaning is No Accident

Complete Cleaning is No Accident: Carpet Cleaning Tips for Pet Owners to Prevent Repeat Offenses

Author Provides Tips Based on Books Happy Tabby and Happy Hound

SANDPOINT, Idaho — “Accidents” are a fact of life for pet owners, and how well the soiled area is cleaned affects whether or not the animal uses that spot for his personal toilet again. The author of two books on adopted pet care, Susan Daffron of Logical Expressions, Inc. offers a few cleanup tips based on her books “Happy Hound: Develop a Great Relationship with Your Adopted Dog or Puppy” (ISBN: 978-0-9749245-2-6; LCCN-2006909898) and “Happy Tabby: Develop a Great Relationship with Your Adopted Cat or Kitten” (ISBN: 978-0-9749245-3-3; LCCN-2007906436).

1. Get up close and personal with the carpet. Pets have a vastly more sensitive sense of smell than humans. Even if a spot seems clean, a pet still knows that’s where he left his “scent.” If the smell is noticeable, the pet certainly can detect it and will return to the same spot. Use your nose and eyes to find every problem area.

2. Seek out old stains. A black light bulb can reveal old urine stains. Turn out all the lights in the room and use the black light to identify long-standing problem areas.

3. Remove odors completely. To clean the areas so the odors are really gone. Use an enzymatic cleaner and follow the instructions on the bottle carefully. These cleaners actually neutralize the odor, as opposed to just covering them up.

4. Clean up new accidents as soon as they happen. If an accident has just occurred, soak up as much of the urine/liquid as possible with a folded towel or a stack of paper towels. Stand or press on this pad until the area is barely damp. Then use the enzymatic cleaner on the spot. Rinse the area with cool water and blot with a towel.

5. Avoid using cleaning chemicals that don’t eliminate odor. Common cleaning agents such as ammonia or vinegar don’t eliminate odor completely. Using other strong chemicals may also decrease the effectiveness of the enzymatic cleaner. Avoid using steam cleaners to remove urine because the heat can permanently set the stain.

Once the house is thoroughly cleaned, begin retraining your pet. Without the smells to distract him, it will be easier for him to do the right thing. And that’s good news for your carpet!

Author of Vegan Success Says Eat Your Veggies

Press Release: Eat Your Veggies

Is Eating Better Your New Year’s Resolution? Take Mom’s Advice and Eat Your Vegetables!

Author of Vegan Success Cookbook Offers Suggestions

SANDPOINT, Idaho — Mom was right: eating your vegetables is good for you, and vegetables should play a role in any new healthy eating program. No one knows more about vegetables than vegetarians and vegans, so Susan Daffron of Logical Expressions, Inc. offers a few tips on how people can include more vegetables in their diet, inspired by her book “Vegan Success: Scrumptious, Healthy Vegan Recipes for Busy People” (ISBN: 978-0-9749245-1-9; LCCN-2006907834).

1. Experiment with new spices. Vegetables don’t have to be dull. Incorporating more vegetables into your diet doesn’t doom a person to a life of bean sprouts and limp salads. Even easy comfort food like baked potatoes can be low-fat and tasty with added spicing and toppings.

2. Go beyond French fries and seek out new recipes for ideas. Technically French fries are vegetarian, but people who live on nothing but French fries aren’t healthy. The key to a healthy balanced diet is to eat a wide variety of different fresh foods. For ideas on preparing a certain vegetable, look through cookbooks or do a search online for recipes that use the vegetable.

3. Spend more time in the produce aisle. Don’t just pick up a head of iceberg lettuce and call it good. The more different vegetables a person eats, the easier it is to maintain good health. Today’s grocery stores are filled with a wide range of produce. Fill the cart with colorful veggies like carrots, peppers, spinach, broccoli, and tomatoes, instead of chemical-laden frozen dinners.

4. Don’t be afraid to spend some time chopping. It’s really not the end of the world to spend more than five minutes cooking dinner. Cooking doesn’t have to be drudgery; it can be fun. Make eating well a priority and involve the whole family.

5. Get over “protein fear.” Including protein in your diet is easy for vegetarians, yet people constantly fret that they won’t “get enough protein.” Many plant foods are quite high in protein, including beans, nuts, grains and various vegetables, such as broccoli and potatoes. Even carrots contain protein. Tofu contains 10-20 grams of protein and the wide range of soyfoods available now are an easy way to incorporate plenty of protein into a plant-based diet.

Eating better by including vegetables in your diet doesn’t have to be a depressing decent into food deprivation. Our bodies need the nutrients and enzymes found in vegetables, so adding more veggies might just make you feel better too.
