Logical Expressions Opens New Satellite Office

August 18, 2000 By Logical Expressions Staff

Press Release: Satellite Office

August 2000 – Computor Companion Satellite Office Opens in Bonner Business Center

Signaling its continued growth, The Inland Empire’s newest
computer magazine, Computor Companion, has opened a
satellite office in the Bonner Business Center, Sandpoint,
Idaho.

The free magazine, which serves the Idaho Panhandle and
northeastern Washington state, is published by Logical
Expressions Inc, 311 Fox Glen Road, Sandpoint, Idaho. Logical
Expressions Inc is a 6-year-old technology services firm which
relocated in 1996 to Sandpoint from southern California.

Computor Companion’s many how-to articles help people use their
computers more effectively, while other articles entertain or
point to helpful web sites.

The main office will continue to be on Fox Glen Road, but the
satellite office provides easier access for vendors, staff and subscribers, as well as the
conveniences of the Business Center — conference room, central
receptionist and more. “Our rural location is in sync with our plan to create a
regional yet home-based virtual business, with staff connected
to us by computer, but certain business needs, which became
apparent with our continued growth, mean we really need this
satellite office,” said Susan Daffron, managing editor.

Daffron is the author of How to Use PowerPoint 2000,
published by MacMillan Publishing, and articles for Bedford
Communications, publishers of Computer Buyer’s Guide and Laptop
Buyer’s Guide
. She and her husband, James Byrd, a programmer,
own Logical Expressions Inc.

Daffron said some business services, such as express mail
deliveries, are not available at their rural base. Growth has
meant a greater need for one-on-one meetings. “It’s easier to
meet with us in the Bonner Business Center than at our rural
headquarters,” said Daffron.

The satellite office address is 804 Airport Way, Suite J,
Sandpoint, Idaho 883864.

Computor Companion is free. About 15,000, 24-page issues are
delivered bimonthly in Stevens, Pend Oreille and Spokane
counties, Washington, and Bonner, Boundary, and Kootenai counties,
Idaho. For more information, phone 208-265-6147 or email:
sdaffron AT logicalexpressions.com. The firm’s website is at: https://www.logicalexpressions.com/

EDITOR’S NOTE: Susan Daffron is available as a guest columnist.
Topics would focus on helping people solve their computer
problems, demystifying the computer, and software/hardware tips.

Computor Companion Magazine Experiences Growth

July 18, 2000 By Logical Expressions Staff

Press Release: Magazine Experiences Growth

July 2000 – Inland Empire Computer How-to Magazine Experiencing Growth Spurt

It’s nearly one-year-old and like any healthy youth, it’s growing
rapidly.

That’s the situation with Computor Companion, a free magazine
published by Logical Expressions Inc, 311 Fox Glen Road, Sandpoint,
Idaho, a 6-year-old technology services firm which relocated in 1996
to Sandpoint from southern California. The magazine’s many how-to
articles help people use their computers more effectively, while
other articles entertain or point to helpful web sites.

Computor Companion hit the streets for the first time in September
1999. Since then page number, number of issues distributed and
distribution points in eastern Washington and Idaho Panhandle have
all increased.

“And we’re also excited at the volume of positive correspondence
from people that we are receiving,” said Susan Daffron, managing
editor. “It’s clear that in helping people understand their
computers, we are providing a much-needed service.”

“Our next move is to begin offering free at-home mail delivery. So
far, our newstand distributions have been cleaned out fast, but we
know many want the convenience of getting the magazine in their
home,” said Daffron.

Computor Companion Magazine Expands Distribution

November 12, 1999 By Logical Expressions Staff

Press Release: Magazine Expands Distribution

November 1999 – Computor Companion Magazine Expands Distribution to Spokane Area

Computor Companion, a free magazine targeted toward computer users, is now being distributed in the Spokane area. Formerly distributed only in North Idaho, the magazine is now also available at selected locations throughout the Inland Northwest. Susan Daffron, the editor of the magazine says, “we had so many people in the Spokane area asking us to bring the magazine here, we decided to expand our distribution.” Since launching the magazine last Fall, the number of copies being printed has doubled and the number of distribution points and advertisers has increased as well.

Published by Logical Expressions, Inc., Computor Companion is printed every other month at the beginning of the month. The web site www.logicalexpressions.com is also updated regularly with articles from every issue. Computor Companion is available free of charge to readers in North Idaho and Spokane. It can be found at computer stores and related businesses in North Idaho and the Spokane area. It is also available on the “free” racks at most grocery stores in North Idaho. The magazine is edited to instruct, inform, and entertain beginning to intermediate computer users with useful techniques they can use to perform their day-to-day computing tasks.

Although the publication is rather new, the editor points out, “A lot of people miss the old ComputorLink magazine that died early this year. Although we aren’t connected with the people who produced that magazine, we feel that Computor Companion can fill the need for useful, local computer information. Many people have given us a lot of positive feedback on the magazine, so I think we’re headed in the right direction.”

Based in Sandpoint, Idaho, Logical Expressions, Inc. is dedicated to helping people use their computers more effectively to get their jobs done by creating easy-to-use custom software, documentation, and other educational resources, including Computor Companion magazine.
