Press Release: Satellite Office

August 2000 - Computor Companion Satellite Office Opens in Bonner Business Center

Signaling its continued growth, The Inland Empire's newest computer magazine, Computor Companion, has opened a satellite office in the Bonner Business Center, Sandpoint, Idaho.

The free magazine, which serves the Idaho Panhandle and northeastern Washington state, is published by Logical Expressions Inc, 311 Fox Glen Road, Sandpoint, Idaho. Logical Expressions Inc is a 6-year-old technology services firm which relocated in 1996 to Sandpoint from southern California.

Computor Companion's many how-to articles help people use their computers more effectively, while other articles entertain or point to helpful web sites.

The main office will continue to be on Fox Glen Road, but the satellite office provides easier access for vendors, staff and subscribers, as well as the conveniences of the Business Center -- conference room, central receptionist and more. "Our rural location is in sync with our plan to create a regional yet home-based virtual business, with staff connected to us by computer, but certain business needs, which became apparent with our continued growth, mean we really need this satellite office," said Susan Daffron, managing editor.

Daffron is the author of How to Use PowerPoint 2000, published by MacMillan Publishing, and articles for Bedford Communications, publishers of Computer Buyer's Guide and Laptop Buyer's Guide. She and her husband, James Byrd, a programmer, own Logical Expressions Inc.

Daffron said some business services, such as express mail deliveries, are not available at their rural base. Growth has meant a greater need for one-on-one meetings. "It's easier to meet with us in the Bonner Business Center than at our rural headquarters," said Daffron.

The satellite office address is 804 Airport Way, Suite J, Sandpoint, Idaho 883864.

Computor Companion is free. About 15,000, 24-page issues are delivered bimonthly in Stevens, Pend Oreille and Spokane counties, Washington, and Bonner, Boundary, and Kootenai counties, Idaho. For more information, phone 208-265-6147 or email: sdaffron AT logicalexpressions.com. The firm's website is at: http://www.logicalexpressions.com

EDITOR'S NOTE: Susan Daffron is available as a guest columnist. Topics would focus on helping people solve their computer problems, demystifying the computer, and software/hardware tips.
