Press Release: New Pet Rescue Association

New Pet Rescue Association Offers Tools and Information to Help Humane Organizations Save More Lives

Members Receive Books and Access to Downloads and Teleseminars

SANDPOINT, Idaho -- A new association called the National Association of Pet Rescue Professionals (NAPRP) provides tools, forms, graphics, and information to help those who are working with dog or cat rescue, humane societies, or animal shelters raise more money, provide adopter education, and save more pets lives.

Members receive two printed books on adopted pet care, more than 100 customizable pet education articles, fundraising ideas and worksheets, templates for common promotional materials such as newsletters, brochures, business cards, and Web sites, and a number of administrative forms.

The new association is in its "prelaunch" phase until March 20 when the membership area of the Web site (http://www.naprp.com) goes online. During the prelaunch, people can apply for membership and join at a special introductory price. The books are mailed to members immediately, and when the private membership area of the NAPRP Web site is complete on March 20, members will be able to log in and access a private discussion area and all of the downloadable materials. Members will also be able to attend teleseminars with experts on topics ranging from volunteer management to humane pet care.

President and Founder Susan Daffron says "I started the NAPRP after years of volunteering at an animal shelter and a spay-neuter clinic. Even though the humane community has made great strides in recent years, there remains a lot of division and "reinventing of the wheel" in our efforts to solve the same problems year after year."

With the NAPRP, Daffron is attempting to bring together tools, documents, and links to the best resources from many different humane organizations into one place. At most rescues and shelters, personnel are busy caring for the animals, and in many cases don't have the time to find information, develop forms, or create good promotional materials.

For more information about the National Association of Pet Rescue Professionals, visit the web site at http://www.naprp.com. Visitors can sign up to receive "101 Fundraising Ideas for Rescues, Shelters and Humane Organizations" via email.
